Welcome, curious reader, to my new website. Though I don’t have an old website so, properly speaking, this is my debut own-URL e-emporium. Here I’ve gathered a record of my work over the last twenty years, from my bouffon opera Hush to my recent verse drama ‘The Strange Wife’. You can read some of my poems, check out the synopsis of my first novel, and as soon as I figure out how to convert ancient scratched CDs and DVDs into podcasts and video links, you’ll be able to view videopoems and listen to spoken word and music collaborations too.
It seems de rigeur to start one’s online diary with an intimate confession, so here’s mine: I can’t quite bring myself to embrace the Brit Rail 2-ply term for web journalling – mainly because it is so b**gging ugly … but ideally, this home page will become a kind of gluggable, eclectic, enfoylean magazine of all things literary, political and creative. Though probably I’ll neglect it, as I do my geraniums. At best, I expect, there’ll be bursts of posts and poems, interspersed with long stretches of silence. But the geraniums thrive despite me, even inspire me, and hopefully this waiting page will too.
So great to hear about your travels Naomi. More power to your writing elbow!
